An End to All Wars, Part Two

What is means to be free.

As I continue up the path and rest under the shade the three trees, I sense that a recuperative rest can only come from True freedom, an end to all wars. And True Freedom can only come when there is genuine equality in justice, in healthcare, in education, in housing, in employment.

Each one of us has the power and ability to influence our local, State, and Federal governments to overhaul the current policies that keep us scrambling to survive. We scramble to afford health insurance and medical treatment. We scramble to afford housing and decent (real) food.

Even with anti-discrimination laws people of minority status, chronic health, and mental health conditions face workplace and hiring discrimination.

People of color face housing, education, and healthcare discrimination, in addition to the workplace and hiring discrimination.

As with many systemic problems, some of us may feel stymied by the overwhelming need and how we can help. I’d suggesting picking a cause that is near and dear to your heart, because you will be more likely to create time time and energy to sustain your momentum. This is the starting point for change.
